On August 7-9, 2019, the ninth edition of the Summer Oncology Academy for Journalists organized by dr. Maciej Hilgier Foundation as part of the Medical Education Program, took place in Warsaw, Poland. The substantive patronage was taken by the Polish League against Cancer.

Among many important topics discussed at the conference, such as the latest developments in cancer treatment (including reports from the ASCO Congress 2019, which you can find out more HERE), challenges faced by children’s oncology were included in the agenda, as well. Glioma-Center Foundation was invited to a discussion in which, among those who care about the fate of young patients, we discussed both good practices and areas that work well in Poland, as well as those which need special attention and improvement.
